The Laurels is a historic Queensland Homestead built at Charley’s Creek, by the son of one of Chinchilla’s early settlers. We are the premier waterfront accommodation in Chinchilla and our guests have unique private access to kayaking and fishing along Charleys Creek. Our proximity to Charleys Creek also makes us a haven for birds with many species regularly spotted around the grounds.

Chinchilla is a vibrant, expanding town in the heart of the Surat Basin just 300 kms west of Brisbane. The Laurels offers a timeless character homestead and rustic cabins, situated on acreage in a tranquil garden setting. Located on the banks of the famous Charleys Creek and right next door to Chinchilla’s Farmers Market fruit shop. Guests will enjoy good old fashioned country hospitality and walking distance from Chinchilla town centre, with its variety of pubs and eateries and close proximity to the Charleys Creek walking trail.
